  • Overview

Villa Podere Calcheto when you enter Tenuta Mocajo, an old farm in the Val di Cecina, you leave your everyday life behind; frenzy, responsibility and daily worries will seem to fall away as you drive along the road that leads into the original borgata and it will seem as though time has stood still; here you can admire the well preserved rural homes, the petrol pump, the little consecrated church and the manor house which is today, after elegant renovation, a hotel with seventeen rooms and a high-class restaurant. Another kilometre through open countryside, ploughed fields and green rolling hills will bring you to Podere Calcheto.

The house is surrounded by a gravel yard and a green lawn on which majestic cypresses, elegant olives, oleanders, wild flowers and various species of Mediterranean plants grow. A pool with gazebo and a stone portico with large wooden tables and a barbecue will let you enjoy life to the full in total relaxation, privacy and liberty in this true Tuscan country home.

Indoors, the clean lines, terracotta floors and finishing touches in wood are typical of the houses and area that is Calcheto. Spacious bedrooms with that simple comfortable elegance that fits the context; two sitting rooms and two kitchens in which you can enjoy a shared holiday but also have your own private space.
