Podere Montalto

Overview

Podere Montalto takes its name from the locality and is represented by a knoll located in the municipality of Montescudaio in the province of Pisa, in the hinterland of Cecina. The hillock that houses the farm is made up of a flat land at the center of which this farmhouse is located.

The location is extremely comfortable and at the same time quiet, just 500 meters as the crow flies from the exit of the Aurelia di Cecina Centro highway and 5 km from the sea. The farm is mainly used for forage and cereals as well as producing Tuscan IGP olive oil. Starting from June 2020, the company began the conversion to BIO agriculture.

The farmhouse is a very large building, originally divided into three apartments, the North, South and the one located on the first floor.

Thanks to the recent renovation, the two apartments on the ground floor, the North and the South, have been connected, creating a unique environment if necessary.

The main house has a total of 9 or 10 rooms with bathroom for a total of 18 or 20 beds.

Exterior:

The garden surrounds the entire villa and its swimming pool and hosts a large BBQ with wood-burning oven at the free disposal of guests.

Private pool:

The swimming pool is certainly the most popular area on hot summer days.

It enjoys natural ventilation that make this environment very pleasant even on the hottest days.

A large sunbathing area furnished with deck chairs and umbrellas surrounds the entire pool which measures 7 x 14 meters with a depth of 110 cm. The entrance to the pool is via a comfortable brick staircase with a handrail.

Depandance:

In the complete version of the farmhouse it is possible to annex the annex which houses two other bedrooms with bathroom as well as a large kitchen suitable for groups of 20-24 people. A laundry room attached to the annex complete the house and is equipped with 2 washing machines and a dryer. The entire farmhouse and also the annex are equipped with heating and air conditioning.

The annex is an independent building located south of the main building. It has two entrances, one from the external porch and one from the back also equipped with a slide suitable for wheelchairs. The annex is on the ground floor only and has a large kitchen and two bedrooms which also have direct access from the outside.

It is a double bedroom with bathroom and a bedroom that can be double or twin if necessary. This room has a bathroom suitable for disabled people. The kitchen of the annex is equipped with two hobs, one with 4 burners and one with 6 burners with a 90 cm oven.

External Dependance: The porch outside the dependance is very large, equipped with table and chairs. The external porch of the annex is the ideal place to place a large table for 24 people in case of need. Next to the annex there is the technical room and the laundry room with two washing machines and a dryer.

North side:

Apartment located on the North side of the building, towards the pool area. This apartment is arranged on one floor and has 3 bedrooms with bathroom and possibly 4 being in connection with the south apartment and where the passage room can be attached to one or the other apartment so the capacity can be 6 or 8 people.

On the ground floor there is a large entrance into the living room with table and TV, a small kitchen with dishwasher and refrigerator.

Ground floor rooms:
Double bedroom with bathroom with shower.
Double or twin room as needed and with its bathroom with shower.
Double bedroom with bathroom with shower.

On the left there is a double bedroom whose bathroom with shower and walk-in closet are positioned on a higher level and can be reached by a staircase.

North apartment exterior: immediately in front of the north side entrance there is a large shaded porch furnished with table and chairs.

South side:

Apartment located on the south side of the building. This apartment is on two floors and can have 3 or 4 bedrooms for a total of 6 or 8 beds.

On the ground floor there is a large entrance hall, lounge, kitchen. The kitchen also has an entrance from the garden on the north side and is equipped with a 5-burner hob, large refrigerator, dishwasher, 60 cm electric oven.

Ground floor rooms:
On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with bathroom with shower. This room also has an independent entrance from the garden.
Next to the double room there is a twin or double room as needed and with its bathroom with shower.
If necessary, this room can also be combined with the North apartment as it is also connected to this one.

First floor rooms:
Going up the stairs that start from the kitchen you get to the first floor where on the right there is a double bedroom with bathroom with tub / shower.
On the left there is a double bedroom whose bathroom with shower and walk-in closet are positioned on a higher level and can be reached by a staircase.

South apartment exterior:
immediately in front of the kitchen there is a large shaded porch furnished with table and chairs

First floor side:

It is located on the first floor of the building with a panoramic terrace. This apartment has 3 bedrooms with bathroom for a total of 6 beds. The entrance is on the west and leads to a staircase leading to the first floor.

At the top of the entrance stairs, on the right there are two bedrooms, one double with bathroom and one double with bathroom. The double bedroom has a bathroom with shower and also has access to the panoramic terrace. If necessary, the double room can be transformed into a double by putting the beds together. Its bathroom has a shower.

The stairs continue into the eat-in kitchen equipped with a 5-burner hob, refrigerator, dishwasher, table with chairs and exits directly onto the panoramic terrace equipped with table and chairs and two large awnings with manual opening.

From the kitchen a corridor leads to the third bedroom, a double bedroom that can be transformed into a double room if necessary. From this room, a staircase leads to the bathroom with shower and to a mezzanine with a single sofa bed and a reading area.

Panoramic terrace: the terrace has an enviable view to the east over the fields and woods of the “Scornabecchi forest”. It is furnished with a table and chairs and has two shading awnings.
