Overview

Villa Pietro is located in a residential area just 650 metres from the beach of Nisporto in the municipality of Rio nell’Elba, one of the most pristine areas of the island, surrounded by greenery and the scents of Mediterranean scrub. Recently renovated, it is characterised by white plaster, geometric forms, clean lines, contemporary furnishings, stoneware floors in shades of grey and dove grey, frescoed walls.

The view is unparalleled, being one of the few villas on the island to have a panoramic infinity pool and a breathtaking view of the sea; here the Tyrrhenian shore offers spectacles of rare beauty with the bay of Nisporto being the backdrop for fantastic sunsets. The Zen atmosphere and the colours of sunset will remain unforgettable, allowing you to spend your holidays in total relaxation without renouncing all the comforts that Villa Pietro will be able to provide.

Nisporto is the ideal location for those who seek tranquillity. You can walk to the beach, a cove with coloured pebbles that render the seabed spectacular and perfect for snorkelling. The beach is equipped for the rental of sunbeds, umbrellas, canoes, rafts, pedal boats etc.

Here is one of the best fish restaurants in Elba and a chiringuito (a small bar) where you can enjoy an apéritif by the sea. For your daily shopping, there is a mini market (open only in summer) in Nisporto, otherwise you can go to Rio nell’Elba (6 km) to take advantage of all the other services: shops, pharmacy, ATMs, public transport, etc.

Portoferraio, the main town of the island, can be reached in about 20 minutes by car or scooter along the Falconaia road, one of the most scenic and fascinating on the island. Near the port in Portoferraio it is possible to rent cars or motorcycles of various types and then, at the end of the holiday, to return them and board the ferry directly.

Villa Pietro Overview

The villa has two floors, for a total of 200 sq m, with independent entrances connected externally by stone steps. On the ground floor, the entrance from the terrace leads into the kitchen with a bar table for four, sofa, satellite and Smart TV, two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower.

On the first floor, the entrance leads into an open-plan area with a fully-equipped kitchen with island, stools, designer table, living room with corner sofa, satellite and Smart TV; the floor is completed by two double bedrooms, a double bedroom with a french bed and two bathrooms with shower.

The open-plan area leads directly out to the portico, to the pergola and to the terrace facing the pool and the sea. On the first floor, the windows of one of the bathrooms with shower and of the bedroom with french bed face onto a small hallway in common with two of the neighbouring windows. The entire first floor and the bedrooms on the ground floor have air conditioning.

Exterior:

The park of Villa Pietro includes a garden with lawn, palm trees, succulent plants and the typical shrubs of Mediterranean scrub that frame the swimming pool, the stoneware terraces and the stone steps that connect the two levels of the structure. The solutions chosen for the outdoor spaces are in minimal total white so as to make the sea, the sky and the splendid swimming pool the absolute protagonists of the scene.

Exiting the open-plan area on the first floor, the large French window opens onto the portico used as an outdoor dining and living area with the pergola in wood and fabric that leads to the terrace introducing the swimming pool solarium. Next to the living room is a wood pizza oven, a barbecue and a sink made entirely of stone with flaking technique by a local craftsman, creating a stylistic and functional whole with the stone wall that surrounds the property. Another wood-and-fabric pergola with sofas is at the service of the pool.

The terrace at the ground floor entrance is also equipped with a small table with chairs. Various areas of the property can be put to diverse use according to the particular moment of the day and the inclinations of the guests: breakfasts, apéritifs, reading, sunbathing, dinners at sunset, lunches overlooking the sea. Past the automatic entrance gate, a driveway leads up to the 4-car, open-air parking area. The laundry area is located outdoors in a secluded part of the property.

Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Private pool:

The private swimming pool of Villa Pietro, overlooking the bay of Nisporto, has a rectangular shape and measures 13 x 7.5 m. It is accessed via angular Roman steps and, after the first 15 sq m of shallow water (h 100 cm), where the 6 hydromassage jets are situated, the depth remains constant at 150 cm. With an infinity edge on all 4 sides, two of which are bordered by white pebbles, the pool is lined in sand-coloured PVC, has salt purification and is equipped with chromotherapy.

The swimming pool is situated at the level of the first floor of the villa, just 20 m from the portico, facing north-west. The solarium, in grey concrete-effect stoneware and lawn, is equipped with a wood-and-fabric pergola with a cosy seating area.

The sunbathing area is equipped with sunbeds and furnishing accessories, and also a solar shower. The internal pool lighting, the external designer lighting, the minimum distance from the villa and the immediate access from the portico allow you to enjoy the pool in the evening and at night as well. The pool is available to guests from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.

Villa Pietro is located in Nisporto, a small bay located in the north-east of the island in the municipality of Rio nell'Elba, nestled amongst the wildest Mediterranean scrub. The beach, about 220 metres long and made up of multicoloured pebbles mixed with little stones and sand, is in the centre of a horseshoe-shaped bay, surrounded by a cliff and, thanks to this conformation, is mainly exposed only to the winds of the north, northwest quadrant. The left part of Nisporto has a more stony bottom, while the central part slopes down quite gently, making it a beach suitable for children as well. It is ideal for those who want to spend a very quiet holiday away from the crowds.

The services it offers are: a mini market, an excellent fish restaurant and lounge bar, a chiringuito on the beach, rental of sunbeds and umbrellas and the possibility of being able to do multiple activities by renting boats, dinghies, pedal boats and canoes as well as equipment for snorkelling and diving. You can also have a pizza at the campsite restaurant located right next to the beach. The closest town is Rio nell’Elba 6 km away with shops and services; Portoferraio, the main town of the island, is only 17 km away and can be reached along one of the most scenic and picturesque roads on the island.

The Island of Elba is a bastion of biodiversity, a green and blue oasis where nature reigns supreme. With its 223.50 sq km, it is the third largest Italian island and the largest in the Tuscan Archipelago. From west to east, that is, from Punta Nera to Capo Pero, it has an extension of about 27 kilometres and from north to south, from Capo Vita to Punta dei Ripalti, about 18 kilometres. With a thousand inlets, its territory is luxuriant, green and wild, with its heart full of metals and precious minerals. The island has a mild climate and a multitude of different landscapes: romantic fishing villages, villages set on high, ancient castles, green valleys and enchanting gulfs that alternate with splendid beaches.

Although the perimeter measures just 147 kilometers, the coast is very rich and there are various beaches and coves of all kinds and colours. In just a few minutes, from the steep cliffs that plunge into the crystalline sea, you pass to the granite massif of Monte Capanne where, at a height of 1019 m, the view stretches, over 360 degrees of infinite sea, to the Tuscan islands and Corsica. The island of Elba can be reached by embarking in Piombino Marittima, where four shipping companies (Toremar, Blu Navy, Moby Lines and Corsica Ferries) have comfortable ferries that make multi-day trips: only one hour of navigation to reach the ports of Portoferraio (the main one), Cavo and Rio Marina.

Alternatively, there is a fast connection by hydrofoil, for passenger transport only, which reaches Portoferraio in just 35 minutes. The airport of Marina di Campo, 29 km from Villa Pietro, connects the Island of Elba to the mainland only during the summer. Directly connected airports are those of Milan, Zurich, Bern, Friedrichshafen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Munich, Vienna.
